Animated video maker: explainers drawn in code
Type a topic and pick one of 46 templates. Motif writes the script first, then the code that draws every frame of the video. The voiceover is timed word by word, and titles, counters, charts, and captions land on those words. Because the text is drawn in code, every word and number on screen comes out exactly as written. A 30-second video costs 139 credits.
How it works
Three steps
Pick a template
Did you know, timeline, top 5, head to head, product launch, recipe, quiz, and more. Each one has its own structure and a tested visual style.
Type your topic, pick a style and voice
Say what to explain and who it's for. If you have your own script, it's read word for word. 14 visual styles, 8 English voices, and 30, 45, 60, or 90 seconds.
Download when it's ready
Script, voiceover, code, and rendering take 10 to 15 minutes. The MP4 is vertical, captioned, and ready for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts.

Highlights
Why make it here
Exact text and numbers
Video models garble on-screen text and digits. Here every letter is drawn in code, so “37%”, “1969”, and “$2.5 million” show up exactly as you typed them.
Motion that follows the voice
The timing of every spoken word is measured. A counter starts the moment its number is said, and list items appear as they're read out.
30 to 90 seconds in one piece
Video models stop at 5 to 10 seconds. Motif tells a whole explainer from start to finish in one video.
Kinetic typography and charts
Word-by-word titles, animated counters, bar and pie charts, timelines, tables, phone mockups, and icons, all generated for your topic.
It checks its own frames
Before the final render, Motif draws a few frames, looks at them, and fixes text that overlaps or runs off the screen.
Voice, music, and captions included
Natural English narration, background music that fits the topic, and captions that highlight each word as it's spoken.
46 templates
Pick a template, type your topic
Each template sets the structure and the visual language. Motif writes new code for every video, so two videos from the same template never look copied.

Honest limits
What this tool can't do
- It doesn't make live-action footage. For real people, streets, or product shots, use Text to video or Image to video. If you add your own photo or logo, the video uses it.
- In fact-based videos, the AI can get a date or a number wrong. Check before you post, and put anything you're unsure about in your own script.
- Each video takes 10 to 15 minutes: the script and code are written first, then the video is drawn frame by frame. At busy times there may be a short queue.
- You can't send revision notes on a finished video yet. If you don't like it, adjust the topic and generate again.
- It won't put words in a celebrity's or real person's mouth, make health claims, or write misleading ads.
FAQ
Common questions
What is Motif?
Motif is our animated video maker. Instead of a video model painting pixels, the AI writes computer code that draws each frame: it uses Remotion, a React-based video library, to build titles, counters, charts, and transitions. The result is a motion graphics video, the kind you'd normally make in After Effects.
How do I make an animated video with AI?
Pick a template, type your topic, and choose a style, a voice, and a length. The AI writes the script, records the voiceover, writes the animation code, and edits it all together; you download the finished MP4. There's no software to install and no timeline to fill in by hand.
Do I need to know how to code to use Remotion here?
No. Running Remotion yourself means setting up Node.js, writing React code, and wiring up a voice service and a render server. Here that pipeline is already set up: Motif writes the code, it's voiced and rendered on our servers, and you only pick a template and type a topic.
Is it good for faceless YouTube Shorts and Reels?
Yes, that's what it was built for: history, science, mysteries, self-improvement, money, and education channels. Videos come out vertical (9:16) with burned-in captions, and the edges that app buttons cover are kept clear.
Which templates are there?
46 templates in six groups: learn (did you know, myth or fact, formula, quiz…), lists and comparisons (top 5, head to head, table, ranking race…), history and stories (timeline, on this day, mystery file…), data and news (by the numbers, poll, money math…), business and promo (product launch, sale, menu, event, job post, real estate…), and social (recipe, travel, chat, celebration…). There's also a freeform option with no template.
Can I use my own script?
Yes. Paste it into the “Your own script” field and it's read exactly as written; the AI only splits it into scenes and designs the visuals. For numbers to be read the way you want, spell them out (“thirty-seven percent”).
How much does it cost?
30 seconds costs 139 credits ($5.05–$9.27), 60 seconds 178, and 90 seconds 217. The exact price is shown on the button, and if the video can't be made, the credits are refunded automatically.
Can I add my logo or product photos?
Yes, up to three images. The AI places them in fitting scenes, for example your logo on the closing card and your product in the launch scene. If you upload a photo of a person, you need their permission.
