AI UGC ads for your product

A UGC ad is a short video where someone holds a product and talks about it to the camera, like a creator filming on their phone. Here you make one with AI: upload a presenter photo and a product photo, then write the script. The presenter is shown holding your product, your script is voiced, and you get a talking video up to about 21 seconds long.

How it works

Three steps

  1. Upload a presenter and a product

Add a clear photo of the person who'll present and a sharp photo of the product. They're combined into one frame.

  2. Write the script, pick a voice

Up to 320 characters: one hook, one benefit, one call to action. Then choose a voice.

  3. Generate and test

The video comes out vertical by default, ready for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Make a few versions and test them.

Highlights

Why make it here

No shoot, no creator fees

Skip shipping products, scheduling, and reshoots. Try a new angle for the same product in minutes.

Your product in their hand

The product photo is placed in the presenter's hand, with its shape, colors, and label kept as close to the original as possible.

Voice and lip sync

Your script is voiced with a natural-sounding voice, and the presenter's mouth is synced to it.

Vertical, square, or horizontal

9:16 by default for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, with square and horizontal options for other placements.

Built for testing

Pair different presenters and scripts with the same product, then keep the version that performs.

Pay per video

No subscription required. The cost depends on the model and script length, and it shows before you generate.

Scripts

How to write a UGC ad script

You have up to 320 characters, roughly 21 seconds of speech. That's enough for one hook, one benefit, and one call to action.

  • Open with the product, not a greeting. The first two seconds decide whether people keep watching.
  • Pick one benefit and say it plainly. A list of five features gets forgotten.
  • End with one clear action: tap the link, shop the collection, order today.
  • Write the way people talk. Short sentences, contractions, no marketing jargon.
  • Spell out numbers and symbols the way they should be read, like “fifteen dollars” instead of “$15.”

Three scripts that follow these tips and the ad rules below:

ProductScriptLength
Travel mug“This steel travel mug fits in a standard cup holder, and the lid locks so it won't leak in your bag. It comes in five colors. Tap the link to pick yours.”153 characters
Sneakers“These sneakers have a cushioned sole and a light knit upper that bends with your foot. They're machine washable, too. Check out every color at the link below.”158 characters
Coffee beans“Medium roast, whole beans, roasted in small batches every week. Notes of chocolate and caramel. Order today and it ships within two days.”137 characters

Only put facts in the script that are true for your product. The examples above are templates, not claims about a real item.

HeyGen Avatar IV or OmniHuman 1.5?

HeyGen Avatar IV is fast and keeps the presenter's face steady with lively expressions; it's enough for most ads and for testing lots of script variations. OmniHuman 1.5 takes longer and costs more, but gives the most realistic body language and gestures, so save it for the version you'll actually run. A 150-character script costs 75 credits on HeyGen Avatar IV ($2.72–$5.00) and 186 credits on OmniHuman 1.5 at 720p. A full 320-character script is 150 and 380 credits.

Choosing the presenter photo

  • A front-facing, well-lit photo from the chest up, with the face clearly visible.
  • Plain clothes and a simple background look most like real creator content.
  • Use a photo of yourself, someone who agreed in writing, or a person you created with the AI image generator.

Ad rules

Running AI UGC ads the right way

AI presenters are allowed in ads. Fake testimonials are not. These rules keep your ads honest and your account safe.

  • The presenter describes, never testifies. An AI presenter can't have used your product, so the script shouldn't say “I've been using this for two weeks” or “this changed my life.” In the US, the FTC's rule on fake reviews and testimonials bans testimonials from people who don't exist or didn't actually use the product, and that includes AI-generated ones.
  • Disclose that it's AI. TikTok, Meta, and YouTube each have rules for labeling realistic AI-generated content. Turn on the platform's AI label where it's offered, and never present the presenter as a real customer.
  • No health, medical, or cosmetic effect claims. Skip lines like “clears acne,” “helps you lose weight,” or “reduces wrinkles.” Describe the product itself: texture, size, ingredients you can list, how to use it.
  • Only use faces you have rights to. Don't upload photos of real creators, celebrities, or anyone who hasn't agreed. Imitating a known person is not allowed.

This isn't legal advice. Ad rules differ by country and platform, so check the policies of the platforms you advertise on.

Honest limits

What this tool can't do

  1. Scripts are capped at 320 characters, about 21 seconds of speech.
  2. It's one continuous talking shot. No product close-ups, screen recordings, or cuts between scenes; add those in your editor.
  3. The product is redrawn into the frame. Small print on labels can change, so check it before you publish.
  4. You need the rights to the presenter photo. Using a real person's face without permission is not allowed.
  5. If you run the video as an ad, disclose that the presenter is AI. Don't script personal experience or health and cosmetic effect claims.

FAQ

Common questions

What is a UGC ad?

UGC stands for user-generated content. A UGC ad looks like a regular person filmed it on their phone: talking to the camera, holding the product, in a normal room. It feels less polished than a studio ad, which is why brands use the style on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.

How does AI UGC work here?

You upload a photo of the presenter and a photo of your product. An image model puts the product in the presenter's hand, your script is turned into speech, and a talking video model animates the presenter with lip sync. All three steps run as one generation.

How much does an AI UGC video cost?

It depends on the model and script length. A 150-character script is 75 credits on HeyGen Avatar IV ($2.72–$5.00, depending on your credit pack) and 186 credits on OmniHuman 1.5. A full 320-character script is 150 credits on HeyGen Avatar IV and 380 on OmniHuman 1.5. The exact price appears before you generate.

Is it legal to use AI presenters in ads?

Yes, with two conditions. Disclose that the content is AI-generated where the platform or law requires it, and don't have the presenter claim to have used the product. The FTC's rule on fake reviews and testimonials bans testimonials from people who don't exist or never used the product, including AI-generated ones. Check the rules for each country and platform you advertise in.

Can the presenter say they use the product?

No. An AI presenter has never used anything, so a line like “I use this every morning” is a fake testimonial. Have the presenter describe the product instead: what it is, what it's made of, how it works, and where to buy it.

How long can a UGC ad be?

Up to 320 characters of script, about 21 seconds of speech. Short ads with one clear benefit tend to hold attention better than longer ones.

Can I use my own face as the presenter?

Yes. A clear, front-facing photo of yourself works well. You can also use someone who has agreed to it in writing, or a person you generated with the AI image generator.

Which aspect ratios are available?

Vertical 9:16 is the default for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Square 1:1 and horizontal 16:9 are also available.
